Madame Melp.a, the Australian cantatrice, during the whole of her tour on ;he Continent was dtluged with jewels and other presents. She received -£240 for her month's engagement at Brussels and for the month's services at the Opera, Paris. Madame Melba has refused ;£Soo per month at the Gaiety, Paris. She sings in London in June and returns in winter.
