Tho Dunedin Jockey Club's Autumn races to-duy wcie well attended, and good contests resulted. In the Hurdle Race Monteagle fell ab the third hurdle, and Jones, his owner and rider, was seriously injured. Tho principal event resulted :—: — Bikthdvy Hanptcai', of lOOsovs ; seconds 20,-jovs ; third, lOsovs. One mile and a" halt. Mr Clifford's Chudleigh, 7sfc 121b (McOrath) 1 Mr Webbs lluby, Bst 51b (Derrott) . 2 Mi* Crockett's Forget-Me-Not, Gst 71b (Wisby) Sultan, Apropos, St. Clair. Quibble, and SU James also ran. Sultan and St Clair were the favourites. A most exciting l-ace ended in a win for Chudleigh, Ruby half a head behind, Forget JMe-Not with only the advantago of a nose ol Apropos and Quibble. Time, 2min 46^sec. Dividends, £6 3s 6d and 15 4s.
