A I'tvuLi.Vß action has been brought against the Wellington-Manawatu Railway Company to recoxer £2 damages and Bs, the amount of fare paid on Easter Monday. The plaintiff and his wife took tickets for Paikakariki, but al Plinimerton the carriage occupied by them was detached from the remainder of the train and they were left behind. For the defence ib was submitted that the guard of the train had called to passengers to change carriages. His Worship, however, held that the notice was not sufficient, and ib was the duty of the guard bo specially notify all passengeis who wished to change. Judgment was given for 18s and costs £2 J9s4d.
