] Jl. Posting and Labelling.— ln ojder that 9 parcel may go by Parcel Post, it must be handed in at a Post Office counter ©r deliverywindow, and the postage due prepaid. The ] words " Parcel Post " should be written on the parcel, or on the label to be obtained from the Post Office for affixing to the p&rcel. 2. Rates of postage and weight.— The rates of postage for a parcel are :—: — s, d. Not exceeding Jib in weight 0 7 Exceeding lib., but not exceeding 2lbs. Size. — Tbe dimensions allowed for a parcel are : — ft. in. The weights and dimensions given above apply only tp parcels for places served by railway, coach, or ; steamboat. ! 4. For Places not Sewed by Railway, Coach, or Steamer. — To all places not served by railway, coach, or steamer, oftly parcels not exceeding 51b3 in weight, and not measuring more than 2ft in length, and lft in breadth or depth may be accepted, and provided they are not of such a fragile nature as to prevent their being sent with safety in the ordinary mail bag. 5. Must be Prepaid. — The full postage must be prepaid by ordinary postage stamps, which must be affixed by the sender or the person handing in the parcel. 6. Not to be Posted in Posting-box. — Parcels exceeding lib in weight are not to be posted in the posting-box, but must be handed over the counter, or at the delivery-window of the Post Office, to the proper officer, by whom the eize, weight, and postage will be checked before a parcel may be accepted. Parcels posted in the posting-box, unless admissible and fully paid at letter rate, will be charged on delivery with a fine of 6d., in addition to any deficient postage. This also applies to parcels posted in pillar aud other postingboxes. 7. Prohibited Parcels. — Parcels bearing, or containing writing or maris of an offensive or indecent character, or containing gunpowder, cartridges, lucifer matches, or anytlaing explosive or liable to combustion, bladders con taining liquid, live animals, grossly offensive or filthy matter, or any substance likely to cause injury to other parcels or to the officers of the Post Office, are prohibited. 8. What other Parcels may not contain, — parcels may not contain any letter or communication of the nature of a letter, money (coin or bank notes), or a packet or parcel intended for delivery at an address other than that borne by the parcel itself. 12, Registered. — Parcels may be registered nndet the same conditions as letters ; and for an additional fee of 2d a receipt can be obtained and posted to the sender,

Rate of Postage. — 3?or a parcel not exceeding 21bs in weight, Is 6d 5 for every additional pound or fraction thereof, 9d extra. Postage must be fully prepaid by means of postage stamps affixed to the parcels. Insufficiently prepaid parcels will not be accepted.
