Russell, Victoria, Waiki, adjourned 30th inst. ; John Roberts and others, Mermaid, aljourned lGth inst. ; Peter C. Hansen, Kuranui No. 3, adjourned ICth inst.; Maurice Kelly, Dives, granted ; Chas. Alexander, Norman, granted ; Thos. 11. Barclay, Lone Hand, adjourned lGth inst. ; Jas, McGuire, machine site, adjourned 16th inst. ; Win. X, Cooper, special site, granted. A large number of plaints forthc forfeiture of licensed holdings in various parts of thegoldOeld were dealt with,having been lodged by Mr G. Wilson, Mining Inspector, against the several parties, on the grounds of non-working, the lands having been allowed to remain unmanned for some mouths past. The following licensed holdings were forfeited: — Marototo South G. & S. M. Co-, Limited, Surplus Nos. 1, 2, and 3, costs 27s ; Brogan Nos. 1 and 2, Whangamata ; Observer Nos. 1,2, and 3, Whaugamata; Maroioto Extended, Nos, 1 and 2 ; Teutonic, The Excelsior, The Tiger, Calliope, The Nelson, all known as the North Mnrototo Amalgamated Leases G. & S. M. Co., LiM.ite 1 ; The Ohinemuri ; Rcuiuera, Morototo ; Crown Prince, Marototo ; Spade Guinea, Marototo ; Darwin, Marotot > ; Walk Over, Waiomo ; Sydney, Waiomo ; Shotover, Karangahake ; Silver Leaf, Nos. 1 and 2, Marototo ; Komata ; Silverton water-race, Waihi. Several other plaints were adjourned, including one for the forfeiture of the Sons of Freedom licensed holding, Moanatairi Creek. — Thames Star.
