THE PIAKO BLOCK.
In connection with the land dispute afc Thames, an agreement has been arrivad at, by which 45,000 acres are given to Government, in settlement of the amount advanced by the Crown over the £11,000, which the natives admit having received. Orders have now been obtained by Mr Lewis in favour oF the Crown for about 17,000 acres.
