A FATAL RACE. BANK ACCOUNTANT KILLED.

Timahu, MayJ6,' Mr W. F. Cabipjjkll, aged 29, accountant of the Bank of IMew .South Wales here for the last two years, met his death by a foolish freak. He was at the Grosvenor Hotel with friends late oa, Saturday, and between I and 2 he and another bank clerk started to run a race round a block of buildings. Campbell ran foul of a horse trough or horse post at the Ship Hotel, and had to be carried back to the hotel. It was said he was not much hurt. Dr. Lovegrove was sent for yesterday morning and found no symptoms of serious injury, the patient taking medicine and food ea&ily, and at night appearing to be quite easy and collected. This morning, he was found dead. The inquest will be held this afternoon. Campbell has friends in Wellington.
