AGRICULTURAL STATISTICS. RETURNS FOR AUCKLAND.
Wellington, April 29. The agricultural statistics tor Auckland are : — Wheat — 14,701 acres, 394,598 bushels ; oats — 9,797 acres for green food or hay, and 1,297 acres for grain, 359,051 bushels ; barley 1,316 acres, 43,666 bushels ; potatoes 4,745 acres, 21,608 tons ; hay, 12,458 acres, 15,670 tons. The following is the total yield for the colony :— Wheat— 362,ls3 acres, 8,770,246 bushels ; oats - ior green food or hay, 84,505 acres, and for grain, 367,189 acres, 10,975,645 bushels; barley-45,027 acres, 1,402,537 bushels ; potatoes— 26,3o2 acres, 133,597 tons ; hay— 50,542 acres. 71,058 tons. '
