THE FLAX INDUSTRY.
Mr H. P. Barber, who has just refurned from the Slates, says the secret of the rise in the price of flax was a 'corner' in sisal theman, grown in Mexico. The latter combined and burst up ail the sisal available for the year, and then put up the price to about double the usual rate.
