FURTHER CASES. HEAVY PUNISHMENTS.
Three charges against the Junction Brewery Co., and three against Owen McArdle, Secretary of the Company, for neglecting to enter certain material received and purcha&ed for the production of beer, were heard to-day. Mr Robinson, R.M., inflicted a fine of £50 with costs, on each information, and intimated that had the whole of the charges been laid against the Company he would have inflicted the maximum penalty in each case. The forfeiture of the plant was ordered.
