The following programme was very creditably carried out : Reading. Your young Man, Mr Novell ; recitation, B<rnpy Murphy's Bothprnient, MiasNorih Hpftley (splendidly rendered) ; recitation, Jim and the Jack Ass, Mns'er Walter Curnow ; dialogue by six girls. Temperance Girls' ; recitation, Mi«s Lizzie Roberts ; song, The Bridge, Miss Ba^kett ("sung with much taste and deservedly applauded) ; chorus, England's a Mighty Placp, by six girls ; recitation, The Violet, Mhs iNellie Curnow ; reading. Melting Moment's. Mr Lovell ; recitation, Hodge and the Vicar, Miss Ethel Goldsworthy (pxcellently given). A selection from Ilovle's Songs and Solo<? were sung during the evening It is intended to have another meeting in a fortnight's time, to include a magic lanteni entertainment. — Correspondent.
