These ti ials are stated to have been very satisfactory indeed The manufacturers claim for this explosive that : The smoke fiom it is mild and does not annoy ; that water will not injire it ; that it fieezes only at a wry much lower temperature than ordinary dynamite ; that it is slower wui more spreading in its action, and withal fully forty per cent stronger than dynunite. There are about four cartridges more to the pound of this explosive than in the case ot oidinnry dynamite.
