THE DAISY IN DANGER.
The Auckland schooner Daisy, which had been chartered by Captain G. Pitty for a fruit-collecting cruise in the Cook Group, was very nearly lost at the island of Mauki about three weeks ago. She was caught by a fierce squall and thrown on her beam ends, where she remained for some time. Before &ail could be got oft her she eventually drifted, much to the relief of her crew, but with the loss of several of hor sails, which were split and torn by the force of the squall
