Tetfoid, pulling double, inor^ased his lead passing the stand, but roundingthe turn to the backof the course the field .began to close up. At the back Lenore drew up jbo Tebford's quarters, and &eo.pojd ian- through into third place. At lehill bend Leopold caught Tetford, and raced him for a furlong, 'when he had the big, horse 'beaten ; then Lenore came again with, $ good ruah, but died away -"in the straight, leaving Leopold to win comfortably by a couple of lengths.
