A strong effort is to be made to induce Government to complete the extension of the Thames Railway as far as Te Aroha. The Mayor has issued circulars to the members of the various local bodies, in viting them to meet next Tuesday evening to discuss the matter, so as to place some definite statistics on the subject before the Hon, Mr Mitchelson when he returns to Thames on 9th prox. to inspect the Line.
