ANNUAL REPORT N. Z. STUD AND PEDIGREE STOCK CO.

The animal meeting of New Zealand Stuil and Pedigree Stock Company was to have been held this afternoon, but owing to the absence of a majority of the shareholders from town, lapsed. The report of the Chairman of directors (Mr Thos. Morrin ) referred to the death of Major Walmsley, and the appointment of Mr Stephana. It appears from the loss sustained on the shipment of horses to the Indian market, the profit and loss account shows a loss. The working account itself shows a small nrofit, and the last annual sale must be considered to have been highly satisfactory when we take into considerntion the fact that the yearlings offered for sale consisted principally of the progeny of untried stallions.
