WRECKS A-SD LOSS OE LIFE.
SYDNEY, March 25. News from Noumea states that the local steamer Cah-donian has been wrecked in a htprieano. One passenger was drowned. The Niagara, U'hich loft Newcastle with coal in Januaty, for Nonmea, is believed to have foundered with all hands.
THURSDAY ISLAND, March 25. The British India Go's steamer Buncoorn, laden with co.-J for Singapore, ran ashoro on tho Angelb.i rcof, near Beta^ id. She was towed off. but has not since been reported, nnd it is feared she has foundered.
