A Kanaka aboriginal has been arrested fo r the murder of Captain Kane and thiee men belonging to the beche-de mer boat Wild Duck twelvemonths ago. He has confessed thafc the black crew plotted together and decided that they would muider the whites on board. They carried out their tiendi&h plot successfully, the four white men being rna-^acied with tomahawks. They seized the vessel, bub subsequently abandoned her to her fate.
