BRITAIN AND MOROCCO. DESPATCH OF THE FLEET. London, March 19.
Replying to a question in the House of Commons regarding the departure of the Channel squadron for Tangiers, Sir James Fergusson said the matters at issue between the British Government
and the Government of Morocco were of a serious nature, and had reference to the murder of a British subject in Morocco and the extension of the cable system. Up to the present no satisfactory settlement has been arrived at with tho Government of Morocco.
