The Native Lands Court commence^ ifs sittings at Shortland this morning ; Judge Scannell presiding. Mr OBrien acted as Clerk of the Court, and Mr Lawry as inteipreter. A number of npplieutions for land at Ohine-muri wore adjourned, and will be heard at Oliinemuri at tho close of the Court here. Seveial succession orders wore dtalt with this morning, but the Court has not yet commenced toudjudicateupon the Piako Biock, which is the most important matter to come before it. In this case, and otheas, Mr G. F. Wilkinson will appear to yvutch the^ interests of the Government.
