Barber reports for the week : Since our last report transactions have been somewhat limited, sellers declining to quit at the rciucod rates, and buyers are not eager to ojcratcat over the following quotations, which are about nominal rates to clay, viz. ; Fair to good ordinary, £30; superior parcels, £31 to £32. East Coast, dull, £13. Supplies for month to date, 317 tons. The Kingdom of Sweden, for London, sailed, 11th inst., taking 274 tons gum, while the William Phillips, for New York, took her departure on the same date, taking some 363 tons gum. Ths Gustav Adolph, now in port, is expected to got away early next month and will probably take, say, 600 tons gum.

Messf^ A. Buckiaxd and SoNrf' Weekly Rei^ort. — During the pastweek fodder has been plentiful ; prices have ranged from Is 9d to 2s 3d the cvvt. The new crop ot oats is now being ottered, and prices have fallen in consequence ; prices have varied -with quality from 2s to 2s 4d the bushel. On Friday horse stock in lull numbers kept their value, usolul stock bringing from £7 to 412, and a spring oart £6 ll's. On Tuesday, hides maintained their late values : Ox, from 3 J .d to 4'd ; cow, 2|d and ?M the lb ; pelts. 9d to 2s each ; bones, £1 17s 6d the ton: longwool, in bags, 6kl ; fine wool, BJd the lb. On Wednesday, a "property having a frontage of 68 feet to the Ponsonby Road, was sold at auction for £600 cash. Atßcmucra on Thursday, dairy cattle weic in full number; ordinary cattlo at late values, but choice milkers were better worth. A halt bred Alderncy at calving sold for £8 7s 6d; other cows, from £3 5s to £4 10«. Store cattlo in inquiry at late values. Fat cattle in full numbers ; la&t week's values ; from 133 to 15s the lOOlbs was obtained, and prices wore lowest at conclusion of sale. Sheep abundant, and at lower price?. One draft of 250 were withdrawn, yet the balance were lower about Is each, and of dull sale. Lambs in usual number sold well ; shorn, from 7s to 9s ; in their wool, 7s to 12s each. Pigs in moderate supply, of good quality, sold satisfactorily.

Messrs Hunter anb Noian's Weekly ReI'ORT — lloiso food, grain, and &eocls have been ample for requirements. The demand has been steady, with little or no alteration in A*aluo. We ouote : If cod oats, from 2s 3d to 3s 4d pur bushel ; Tartarian, 2s Zd to 2a 9d ; Dim, 2s 3d to 2s 6d; bran, £4 10s to to per ton ; chaff, £1 10 a to £2 10s. llor&es : An average number have been brought forward, and found purchasers, the demand for all stamps being stronger, although there has been no noteworthy alteration in actuil prices paid. About the usual number were submitted by auction ; competition was brisker than has been the cisc for some time, and there remained an unsatisfied demand for hacks and light harness horses. Wo quote : Hacks, from £5 to £12; light harness horses, £5 10s to £12 ss. Wool, hides, skins, aud tallow; Large quantities were pitched at the Durham Yards on Tuesday, and the demand was brisk. We quote Ox hides. Cattle were brought forward in increased numbei-3, but sales were cflectcd at the previous week's value for dairy and store stocks, but fat beasts receded a shade. There was rather a large number yarded at both Newmarket on Tuesday and Pukekohe on Wednesday, and a good attendance of buyers. Dairy and store stock were steadijy competed for. but the butchers were unwilling to give the previous week's prices for fat stocks, and values fluctuated from 14s to 163 per lOOlba. Some averages wore 1 Steers, £4 2s 6d, £4 17a 6d, £5 Js;£b 5s 6d, £5 7s 6cl, £5 16s 6d, £6 5s ; cows, £3, £3 ss, £3 12s 6d, £3 17s 6d, £4 10s, £6 ss. Sheep" 'J ho Newmarket pens were completely filled on Tuesday, and there Avas a steady demand. The competition for , stores throughout was brisk. No young ewes were disposed of, and there remained an unsatisfied inquiry. Ewes sold at from 6s to 9s each. Store lambs sold readily at from 6s 3d 1 o Bs. Superior rams sold at from 12s to £1 10s each, and we sold privately Lincolns at from 3 guineas to 5 guineas each ; merinos, 3 to 4 guineas each. Fat wethers sold at from 10s 6d to 13s 6d ; ewes, 9s to 11s each ; fat lambs, 10s each. Piga were more plentiful than of late. Dairy-fed sold at 3d per lb, live Aveight ; stores, from 2d to 24 d per ]b.
