The treatment of the 11 tons of quartz recently brought to Thames by Mr Jas. Clarkson from Mcturangi, about 3 2 miles from Mercury Bay, has now been finished. ' The retnrn from the whole parcel was 907S Odwts retorted gold, but the tailings have not yet been treated and will be assayed at the School of Minos.
