The concluding events of to-day's lacing resulted : — Wanganui Cup Handicap of 500sovs; second, horse to receive 50sovs from the stakes. One and three-quarter mile. Mr W. Bobbett's b ru Lady Norah, syrs, by Cadogan — Steppe, 7st 121b (Katlerns) ... ... ... 1 Mr E. Gutts's br f Dudn, 3yra, by Somnus — Fame, 9sb 91b (Matthews). . 2 Mr C. Beresford's b c Leopold, 3yi*s, by Leolinus — Lovebird, 6sb 121b (Priest) 3 The other starters were : — Lady Florin, 7st 101b ; Recluse, 7sO 8lb ; Camomile, 6st 71b. Masthead was scratched. Leopold and j Dud ix had the call of the betting. When the field fairly landed in the straight, Lady Norah came with a great run, and settling everything, ran home a winner by threequarters of a length, Leopold being third, half a length behind Dudu. Time, 3min. 7sec. Dividends : Inside, £6 13s j outside, £6 18s. A protest entered by Dudu's owner against Lady Norah, on the ground that the latter crossed Dudu in the straight, was not upheld. The Two-year- old Stakes was won by Cynisca, the Welter Handicap by Foxton, and the Flying Handicap fell to Recluse, the other places being filled by Chudleigh and Leander. Escutcheon and Patchwork wore among the starters.

Mr P. Butler's br c Manfcon, by Musket — Tres Deuce (Derritb) 1 Mr A. Kennedy's Recluse, by Daniel O'Rorke— Voltarina 2 Mr J. Paul's b q Foxton, by Somnus— Leonessa 3 These were the only starters. Foxton j made the running ab the first part of the journey, when he gave way to Recluse, bub they had no chance with Manton/who won easily. Time, 2min. 44£secs. Dividends, £1 93 and £1 10s. Second Handicap Htjkdles, of lOOsovs ; second horse to receive lOsovs from the stakes ; about two miles and a-cjuarber. Ahua, lOsb 101b (Scott) 1 Oddfellow - ... 2 Maribyrnong ... ... ... 3 A good race ; won c leverly by two lengths. Dividends : Inside, £5 ; outside, £4 17s.
