FROZEN MEAT FOR ENGLAND. SECOND SHIPMENT OF THE SEASON. Auckland, March 6.
Tim New Zealand Shipping Company's direct steamer Tongariro, which sailed for London via the South at noon to-day, took away as car^o from the New Zealand Frozen Meat and Storage Company a large shipment "of frozen meat, the second of the season. It consists ol 806qrs beef (126,5141b), 2,585 sheep (146,9551b), and 1,472 lambs (55,7551b), with a few sundries, and has been prepared for shipment by the Frozen Meat Company on behalf of the raisers of the stock in Waikato and the Piako district. In addition the Company forward to London by the Tongariro 500 cases of preserved meats, on account of a Government contract for army supplies recently obtained by the local factory. The carcases delivered on board the steamer are very fine ones, in the best of condition, and the shipment should prove most satisfactory.
