THE LIBERAL PLATFORM. Melbourne, March 7.
In view of the approaching general elections, the Liberal party in this colony have adopted the following platform — To secure the Victorian market to the Vicloiian producer, and in farming and stock raising to prevent Chinese competition ; maintain the principle of Education Act, raise prospecting to the level of a recognised industry ; amend the Land Act ; make Local Option effectual ; abolish plural voting and extc nd the franchise to women ; impose a tax on absentees ; adopt a national scheme of sanitary reform, and prevent criminal pauper immigration.
