FLAX TRADE. MEETING OF MILLERS. Foxton, March 5.

This meeting of hemp millers was largely attended on Saturday night, and it was decided to protest against an increase in the freights from 90 to 100 shillings. Mr Galo, ot Johnston and Co., Wellington, and Mr Booth, of Cantorbiuy. attended. A committee wa3 appointed to deal with freights, and representation at the Dunedin Exhibition was arranged for and all questions affecting the trade. Mr Gale stated he believed reductions could be obtained.
