CONFESSION BY PIGOTT. FIRST LETTERS GENUINE. London, March 3.
Pi is slated that amongst the effects of Pigott, the witness in the " Times "- Parnell inquiry who has just committed suicide, was a confession that the fiist batch of letters were genuine, but the lemainder were forged. Pigott's notebook has been found amongst his effects, and in it are many numerous interesting entries. A post mortem examination of Pigott's body is being made. He will be buried at Madrid, in which city he shot himself. The letter which was found in his pocket and was addressed to Laboucheie confirms the confession. Pigott, in the letter, regrets that he injured Parnell others, and expresses a desire to make reparation. His children have been left destitute.
