Before the " Times "-Parnell Commis' sion to-day Messrs Lewis, Labouehere, McCaithy, Campbell and Sala gave evidence in support of the confession made by Pigott. Sir Charles Russell, on behalf of Mr Parnell, applied to the Commissioners to make an intetim report of their decision regarding the letters. Sirß. E, Webster strongly objected to this, and urged that the Commissioners should not communicate their deliberations until all the evidence as to the alleged conspiracy had been completed. Sir James Hannen, the President, announced that the Commissioners would give their decision on the point on Thursday next. Sir R. E. Webster then proceeded with the general charges, and submilted evidence in suppoit of his allegation that Patrick Ford, editor of the (< liish World," had remitted large sums of money to the Land League for the purpose of promoting outrages.' In the course of an interview to-day, Mr Parnell stated that the expenses in defending charges brought by the " Times " against him had amounted tO^O.OOO. Mr T. M. Healey has given notice of a motion in the House of Commons to the effect that Sir R. Webster, At-torney-General, has forfeited the confidence of the House.
