TE KOOTI REPENTS. THE PREAMIER IN CAMP. ADDRESS TO THE VOLUNTEERS. Gisborne, Feb. 27.
A pLivabe telegram was received here from Opotiki yesterday afternoon stating that there i-> no danger now, and that Te Kooti was going back to Waiknto last e\cning 01 to-day. The troops did nob leave camp till ten on Monday night, though oideis ior marching had been given and uounteim aided twice during the day. The Fromioi arrived at the camp at eight last night. After two hours' consultation with the officers he addiessed the force, thanking them on behali of the colony for •onnng out at the call of duty, and said tliaL ifc was not a mihtai y exhibition, but one to \ indicate the law of the country. He specially thanked Ropata and the Ngatiporouh for their previous services. The foice then matched towauls Motu.
