FIJI NEWS. THE HURRICANE. DESTRUCTIVE FIRES. Russell, Feb. 20,
Later news from Fiji is to hand by the Arawata. The effect of the late hurricane appears to have been felfc most ab the islands of Taviua and Rambi, where much destruction has been done. Levuka and the adjacent islands did not suffer much, and no shipping casualties to speak of occurred. There have been several destructive fires latterly at Levuka. Mr Falkner's barber's shop and stock were destroyed and Solomon's trading store at Suva, Copsen, ship chandler, Colline. grocer, and Swarm's chemist shop were also destroyed.
