TE KOOTI AT WHAKATANE. Gisborne, Feb. 20.

The following- telegiam .was received from a reliable , source at Whakatane at 10.30 this morning :—": — " Te Kooti and a party of about seventy, one quarter of whom are women are now here. They seem unarmed. They arrived peaceably, but may have revolvers. They may not leave Opotiki for several days. No reply has been received from the Government yet in answer to the Vigilance Committees telegiam. A meeting of the Committee takes places to-morrow.
