An Eccentric Will.
Me, 3 ustioe Chitt y had before him lately, for further consideration, the will of the late Eev. William Wight, of the Arabs Tent, Chiselhurst, formerly vicar of Harbury. By his will he desired to found a college S for ladies ' to train ladies for the important duties of wives, mistresses, and mothers. 3 Woman, he assorts in his will, should bo something more useful and more noble than a pretty doll, a butterfly, or a plaything for her husband. To this end he provides for tho early rising of the ladies at the college and for cold baths in the morning. Ho also provides for quarterly conversaziones at tho college, and directed that two-thirds of the invitations should be sent to single gentlemen. He directed that he should bo buried in his garden, and near the grave of his noble Cabrador dog friend. These 'bequests turned out to bo illegal and Mr justice- Chitty made an order giving specific'in'structions as to the distribution , of fche property among the next of kin.
