TUESDAY, FEBRUARY I9th. (Before H. W. Northcroft, Esq., R.M). William Dibsell v. Eliza A. Reed, claim £2 3s 2d. for fronds supplied. Defendant disputed, liability on tho grounds that some of tha goods chained for were never received, ,i!ro that her son had obtained the £oods on credit Indirection of her stepson, and not bv her instructions, etc. She was in the habit of paving ready cash for all her good", not running' credit. Judgment for £2 3s 2d, and costs B^. Police v. John Wood : Tn this case defendant surrendered to bail on tlio charge of maliciously assaulting one Fred. Hyde, nt Te Arohn, on February 13th (under circumstancPß already reported in the^p columns). The police statins: the injured mnn « as still very ill and unnblo to appear, he accused was remanded for ei^lit days Bail and .sureties, a^ previously accepted, being enlarged till I hat date.
