OHRISTCHURCH WOOL SALES Christchurch, Jan. 11,

Wool sales proceeded with to-day. Neither buyers nor brokers will give way on the question of farthing bid. Some lots wer c bought by local men, the buyers being confined to three — Mr G. G. Stead, Air F. Puschel, and Mr J. M. Watt (Provision and Produce Co.), who secured all small parcels at fair rates, sligh tly below former quotations. All the leading lines were withdrawn.
