VICTORIAN ELECTIONS. Melbourne, Jan. 7.

In view of the approaching elections the Victorian farmers have issued a manifesto urging an ad valorem duty of 25 per cent, on imported live stock and dead meat, with no drawbacks, and a duty of 3s per cental on imported cereals, peas, maize, £1 a ton on potatoes, 4d per lb on butter, cheese and bacon, and the offering of a bounty on the export of wheat, with a sliding scale of bonuses for vine culture and fruit growing.
