Splekp'lD weather prevailed to-day for the Anniversary Regatta. There was a Urge attendance on the Union Co.'s Roto'tnahana (flagship), but a charge for a. 'l mission to the wharf caused a great fulling off in the crowds who usually witness the Itegatta from that point. The several events resulted as follows :- Trading cutters. 25 tons and upwards, Nellie 1 ; Fannie, 2 ; Waterlily, S. Y«chts 0 tons, Jessie Logan 1 ; Mapu, 2 ; Ariel, 3. Whnlebo.it race (junior), St George's, 1 ; City, 2 ; VVeat End, 3. This was an exciting ra«f», won by tl»ree lengths. Th© West End entered a protest on the ground that they were fouled by the winners. Champion Whaieboat, Waitemata, 1 ; Thames, 2 ; Auckland Navals, 3. Fishing Boats, Mary, I ; Christina, 2. Open Sailing Boats, Clytip, 3-; Beata, 2. Dingios, M»sefield, *1 ; lj>aght, 2 : Riley, 3. Coasting Vessels, any riy: 12 to 15 tons, Gannett, ] ; Henry, 2 \ Mahurangi, 3.
