Wellington, Jan. 15. The s.s. Wainui was auddeniy taken oft' the berth for Grey mouth, and sailed, it was re. ported, for Auckland last night. Jt has since been u&certained that she was especially chartered by the German Go" vernmenfc to convey cable despatches to the Consul in Samoa, for which place she left direct.
