A sensational occurrence happened at Ballarat on Saturday during the performance given by Professor Bartholomew, the aeronaut. He ascended in his balloon as usual, but descended with his parachute at a terrific rate. He struck a house in the descent, and both legs were severely lacerated, and the bone of one injured.
