STORM AT INVERELL. Convent School Demolished.
A TKitKiFic storm raged ab Inverell on the afternoon of llfch inst., during which, in 15 minute-;, 67 points of rain were recorded, but probably much more fell, as the rain was driving fiercely. Great damage was done to the convent school, which was demolished, and which now, with the exception of a small wing, lies a heap of debris. Horse-boxes on the show ground were unrooted and the iron carried a great distance ; a number of stables and chimneys were knocked down, capping was torn off houses, shingles were torn out, iron was ripped off, signboards were blown down, and general disaster lesulted at many places. Hail fell for a few minutes. The storm was the most severe ever experienced here, considering its duration. The children had only left the convent school about half-an-hour previous to its collapsing, and had a providential escape.
