FIRES IN AUSTRALIA. Sydney, Dec. 27.
The Wentworth House Hotel was destroyed by fire yesterday. Two lodgers named Armstrong and Caulfield, while endeavouring to make their escape from the flames by a window, fell bo the pavement below, a distance of sixty feet, and were killed.
