The tributcrs in the Kenil worth, Karangnhnke, Messrs Shephenl, Ritchie, and Boulton, cleaned up a parcel of H tons avcond- class dirt 'at the Xvanhoe battery yesterday, for a return of 102ozs melted gold, value L 2 2s 6d per oz. The tailings arc worth L 2 per ton. No arrangements hns yet icon made with the directorf of the company who have jtiiised their sanction to the sale of the 4:2 tons of first-class ore for L 2500. This is regarded as a somewhat arbitrary proceeding as the sum is equivalent to 68 per cent of the assny value of the dirt ; a larger proportion than as yet been offered for any ore in the district, A large Standard or« crusher, weighing 5 tons hns arrived at Paeroa for the Wnihi G. M. Co. Mr McCombie's plant for the Ivanhoe mine, wliich is partly the old Waitoa plant and purtly new machinery has also arrived, and is being carted. ■^The successful tenderer for the carting of the Jubilee plant from Paoroa to Waitekauri is Joseph Simpson, The $j\?a i5j.229-pev ton.
There, was no bidding for 'the Te Aroha. fining shares offered at auction in A«ok)and by Messrs Tonka' and Co. on Wednesday lafet.
