THE CHINESE QUESTION. London, December 19.
Refemng to the Chinese question, Sir George Campbell urged that Australia should respect the treaty existing between England and China. Sir James Fergusson said that Sir John Walsham, the British Ambassador at Pekm, was parleying with the Chinee Government, and there was every hope that the question would be settled amicably.
