Monthly meeting of Te Aroha Town Board to-night. On the 15th inst., Messrs Brad ley find Co.'fi coach, Marototn, will iua'<e n moonlight tiip to Paeroa frcm the Tlninea, starting- at about five p in. We understand a large party will take the opportunity of this outinir, and the coach will be drawn by eight liorsep, driven -by Mr Bradley, The annual, treat in connection with the Waiorongnraai School will be held on the 21st December, the day upon which the school breaks up for the holidays. A programme of sports will be prepared for the children, to conclude with a concert in the evening ; at which the prizes will be presented to the children. The School Committee have decided to give prizes to those who have attended school regularly throughout the year, uilh a view to en-* couraging better attendance in the future. A start was made on Monday last in removing to Paeroa the battery and, appliances recently purchased by Mr E/I0 Cooper for the Jubilee Mine, WaitekaurM By Thursday Mr Firth's barge was got, under way, but being loaded somewhat 1 * heavily it. >tuck soon after being cast off,?and considerable diffioulty was experienced in floating it again.
