A GREAT WRONG. London, December 4.

The Government have granted ,-£Soo each to two men named Brannigan and Murphy, who have been wrongfully imprisoned for ten years. The Solici-tor-General, Sir E. Claike, referring to the matter in the House of Commons, said it was clear from this case that the lules would have to be altered, *o that in future prisoners might be allowed to give evidence in their own defence.
