The Jury state in their Report : — " It is very satisfactory to be able to note in this connection' that tbe^e was a remarkable concensus of opinion as to the merits of the exhibits, often amounting to unanimity, and this even when the members were blinded, which was frequentlydone. Many^of the ales of all kinds were -very fine, andgthose wjiich were ' off' were such as were very unlikely to have taken a place in any case ; in. fact, the survival <of the fittest has been effected by natural selection." pROWN, ; pAMPBELI/ & p 0., t " .
