Mr,,J. H. Moore', manager of the Marototo Gold and Siivor Mining Company's mine,, yesterday presented the Thames. School of Mines, with some interesting curios obtainedjfrom that Company's mine, , There ' are! three specimens of silicious' encrustations, each being about, an inch in thickness • and having a surface oi* some ; 15 inches j square, and although^ the- formation' is, in ,. each case .similar,- the' -specimens ' ai'e themselves, different in shade^and' 'exceedingly pretty.
