VALUE OF LAND— DEMAND SET IN. IMPORTANT SALE.
One laml agent in Auckland to-day solil ten tliousnml pounds worth of country land, and others give encouraging reports of business dono and enquiries made. A Wunganui firm reports a demand for large blocks of unimproved land from Melbourne investors. That the returning confidence in the value of land is being widely felt is evidenred by tlia principal creditor in Mr C. Goulds estate expressing his satisfaction in the security for his debt, some £11,000, in the Waitoa property, and refusing to prove as a creditor. Under these circumstances proceedings are being taken by Mr Gould to annul the bankruptcy.
