Mr Adam Poetbr am-ived here from Auckland yesterday afternoon, and waited upon the Borough Council re the mineral wealth of this district being suitably represented at the forthcoming Paris "Exhibition. He asked'that the Council should co-oper-ate with the Auckland "Chamber of Commerce in collecting exhibits and securing a good display. It was agreed to comply with the request aud to give such assistance as the Council could to forward the object, while the Mayor was authorised to take such action as he might doom necessary.
