OHINEMURI. (From Our Own Correspondent.) Paeroa, Friday.
The flax mill at the Junction, Paeroa, 19 now in full swing, and is putting through a large quantity of flax, This mill provides work for a large number of hands. There is nothing new re mining since my last. The old Te Aroha battery is expected to be re-erected at Waitekauri before rery long, when Mr E. Kersey Cooper will commence operations on the Jubilee claim. Mason and party have struck first-class gold in the Young New Zealand at Waitekauri. At Karangahake the Parkes Furnaco is running smoothly, and doing well. The usual monthly R. M. Court was held on Monday last. There were only two cases, both judgment summonses. Hogg v. Humphiies claim £16. Defendant having filed in bankruptcy the judgment lapsed. The other case, Alley r. Niland, claim £5 Is 6d for grazing. Defendant was ordered to pay within one month, or in default 30 day's imprisonment.
