IRISH AFFAIRS.
On September Bth, Pritchard Morgan obtained a concession from the Cro\v m to work a bract of fifty-nine square miles in County Wicklow, for gold. He believes gold reefs cross under the Channel from Wales. Startling evidence is expected before the Parnell Commission. Several Irish conspirators undergoing imprisonment in England have offered to make disclosures, with the hope of obtaining remission of sentence. These disclosures will relate to the dynamite conspiracy in America. It is believed these witnesses will be called in Parnell's action against the " Times." A mutiny occurred among the troops at Porto Bello barracks, Dublin, on Sunday, September 16th. Exasperated by their treatment, the men attacked the quarters of Major Whitely and other officers. They broke into and sacked the Major's house, destroyed all the furniture, and took the Major's portrait into the yard, where they threw it upon a pile of blazing goods. Five of the ringleaders have been arrested. Mrs Jane Taylor, a handsome and fashionably attired lady, belonging to Niagara Falls, N.Y., was found dead in Phcenix Park, Sept. 22nd, having suicided with opium. The case is considered a mysterious one, and the police are investigating it.
